A 20-Year Evolution. Teoh’s path began in the studio as an audio engineer, focusing on the technical side of sound before moving into composing for advertisements. Over the recent years, he has shifted his focus to film scoring, working on projects that have earned industry recognition.

Contemporary and Collaborative. At Oktave Productions, Teoh focuses on how modern production can complement traditional musicality. His approach is rooted in the balance between current technology and the human elements of a story, ensuring the music feels relevant to the project’s needs.

The Multi-Instrumentalist. As a self-taught musician, Teoh uses a variety of instruments to build unique musical identities. While his work often centres on the bass, guitar, drums, piano, and cello, he is also an explorer of diverse global instruments. By incorporating the textures of the Guzheng, Erhu, Dilruba, Tabla, Handpan, Sompoton, and Darbuka, he blends traditional sounds with modern production to deliver scores that are contemporary and distinct.
